What Does Your Summer Beach Body Look Like?

If you cringe when summer rolls around, you may dread getting in a swimsuit. Instead of enjoying the beach and making lifelong memories, you’re concerned about not having the ideal beach body! Other healthy habits to develop include getting plenty of sleep every night and being more active through simple exercise. Go at your own pace and don’t push so hard that you burn out. Design a plan that you can easily maintain.
Set Yourself Up for Success and Joy.
No matter what shape you’re in, before you go to the beach, find clothing or swimsuits that you feel confident in. Also, if you are worried about body image comments coming up in conversation, set boundaries early so those around you will not wander to topics you don’t want. Most of all, practice self-compassion while you’re at the beach. Even if your body doesn’t look “perfect” to you, focus on the present experience and making memories with those around you.
